What is inescapable in life gives origin to tempered space

Mother and son.

A mother breast-feeding her child. It is an act of great intimacy, baring a part of the body to feed a new-born baby.

This occurs anywhere, it takes place between the two of them, cannot be postponed, it is inescapable, it is here and now.

The act of dwelling in daily life has the possibility of being postponed through asceticism or neglect. Thus one can stop eating and fast, or simply postpone it through sloth.  But here it seems we meet with a primary act, it must be completed at the moment of the demand whatever the time or location, and for it to take place only requires the two of them.

Suckling is not drinking, it is the instinct of the new-born assisted by the mum, which suits it to swallow and breathe alternately, a time of dedication. We stand before an elementary fact of life, life comes through the body itself. Now this is a primary act and we can recognize it because it involves names: mum that comes from the fact of suckling. And the biological classification of mammals originates here.

The city seeks to receive these primary acts in their emergency, what is received is life, giving it full room is tempered space.
