Un camino interurbano.

Lo que podemos constatar en el hecho de este  camino, ante nosotros está la cinta implacable del pavimento con todas sus precisiones. Desde el otro lado percibimos el lugar por donde el camino pasa, es el agro con su cantidad de extensión. En el agro un corral para animales en medio de su abundancia de extensión, construcción leve pero eficiente con sus propósitos. Esta abundancia está sobre el manto de tierra que va desde nuestros pies hasta el horizonte.

Entre el camino y las casas hay unos cincuenta metros, es un terreno con poco uso, hay un corral en estos momentos vacío.

El camino tiene siete metros de ancho mas una mínima berma. Estos siete metros tienen la calidad de un instrumento, un trazado regular y regulado a lo largo y a lo ancho, con una continuidad garantizada, impermeable, resistente al peso soportando varias toneladas por metro cuadrado sin deformación aparente. A esto hay que añadirle la juridicidad para poder transitar que impera sobre él.

Ahora la presencia de este camino no es un hecho aislado, es un bien con unas restricciones para un territorio. Es evidente que este territorio se beneficia con la conectividad del camino, que proporciona una vía de velocidad media, mayor a la urbana y menor a una autopista. Cuenta también con otro bien que se puede formular de un modo negativo: no segrega. Ambos lados que deja el camino no están definitivamente divididos por él, su división no es total no aísla uno lado del otro. Al no ser una carretera de alta velocidad permite que se lo cruce por peatones y vehículos de un modo restringido pero posible.

La convivencia de conectividad e integración de ambos lados del camino lo deja en el umbral de un elemento urbano, por su proximidad con la ciudad.

La potencia que trae un camino no segregante a la extensión sea esta un área de cultivo o una reserva, es su posible cambio de unidad de medida, pasar de las unidades del agro en hectáreas a metros cuadrados. The road that links, connecting without segregating, borders on being an urban element

A country road.

What we can verify in the fact of the road before us is the implacable ribbon of the roadway with all its precisions. From one side of it we perceive the place through which the road passes, it is agricultural land with its vast extent.  In the agricultural land a field for animals in the middle of its abundant expanse, a lightweight but efficient construction with its own purposes. This abundance concerns the mantle of earth that goes from our feet to the horizon.

Between the road and the houses there is about fifty metres, it is a terrain with little use, there is a field that happens to be empty at this particular moment.

The road is seven metres wide plus a small pavement. These seven metres have the quality of an instrument, a regular and regulated outline in length and width, with a guaranteed continuity, impermeable, resistant to weight, supporting several tons per square metre without apparent deformation.  To this must be added the legal right to be able to move that reigns over it.

Now the presence of this road is not an isolated fact, it is an asset with some restrictions for a territory. It is evident that this territory benefits from the connectivity of the road, that provides a route of average speed that is greater than an urban street and not as great as a motorway. It also brings another advantage that can be formulated in a negative way: it does not segregate. Both sides left by the road are not definitively divided by it. Its division is not total and does not isolate one side from the other. This not being a road of high speed allows pedestrians and vehicles to cross it in a restricted but credible way.

The conviviality of connectivity and the integration of both sides of the road leaves it bordering on being an urban element, through its proximity with the city.

The potential carried by a road which does not segregate an expanse, whether this is an area of cultivation or a reservation, is its possible change of unit of measure, passing from the units of measurement of agriculture, hectares, to those of square metres (1 hectare = 10,000 square metres).
