En un cerro en Valparaíso, de los que están ya urbanizados, con todo construido interiores y exteriores. Podemos ver que está todo delimitado pero de un modo asimétrico e irregular. Suponemos que esto es así porque es una construcción acumulativa, son pasos que van consolidando lo oportuno y posible y todo esto en un tiempo prolongado. La pendiente del cerro con su irregularidad se deja construir palmo a palmo, es una construcción in situ, está en un campo de la singularidad. Ciertamente esta singularidad está en los suelos, en las puertas y ventanas reina una figura general. En esta disputa entre la singularidad y lo general puede aparecer la arquitectura que quiere la plenitud para el acto de habitar.

The singular and the general

On a hill in Valparaíso, of those that are already urbanized, with entirely constructed interiors and exteriors. We can see that the boundaries are all established, but in an asymmetric and irregular way. We suppose that this is because it is a cumulative construction, its steps consolidating the opportune and the possible, and all of that across a prolonged time. The slope of the hill with its irregularity is left to be constructed bit by bit, an in situ construction, it stands in a field of singularity. Certainly this singularity is constituted by the ground levels,  the doors and windows, a general figure reigns. In this dispute between the singular and the general, the architecture that seeks plenitude for the act of inhabitation takes place.
